The Fragility Of Life

Hey everyone,

So today’s story is a little sad. It’s about these 3 stray puppies that I met near my workplace.

One afternoon, 2 of my colleagues and myself were taking our usual post-lunch walk around the area, and we came across this stray dog and her puppies. The puppies were just a couple of weeks old and were absolutely adorable.

Originally, there were 6 puppies, but only 3 survived beyond the first 3-4 weeks. My colleagues and I used to feed them everyday, and there were a few other people also who did the same. So these three puppies grew and survived till 2 months. They literally grew up in front of our eyes.

But then a couple of days ago, tragedy struck this cute family of dogs. Two of the three puppies died of food poisoning. They ate something they shouldn’t have and got sick. A few days later they died.

This is such a sad story, especially because they passed away just as they were nearing adulthood. To survive so long, only to get sick and die. That’s what broke my heart.

But then I realize that such is the nature of life. It is incredibly fragile. Everyone assumes they have time, when really we could be dead tomorrow. There are so many people on this planet who forget to enjoy the little things in life, while running behind the so called success and fame.

It is important to follow your passions and do what you love, and make time to spend with those who love you. It is incredibly important to do all this, so that when we do reach death, we can at least say that we lived!!

I, for one, want what Ranbir did in the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani…. “Raftar! Pagalpan! Har din itne dhamakedar ho ki mujhe meri dil ki dhadkan apni kaano tak sunai de!!!

Main udna chahthi hoon! Daudna chahthi hoon! Girna bhi chahthi hoon, bus rukna nahi chahthi!!”

Well actually yeh thoda zyada hai, but you get the drift!! 😋

Well, I guess that’s it for today folks… Until next time!!
